Communication

Parent Communication with the school

Communication with parents is important to build positive relationships as the basis for positive partnerships in learning. If you have a query about an issue involving your child, there are several people you can talk to in the school:

•          Class/Head Teacher regarding progress/issue in a specific subject area.

•          Year Adviser/HT Welfare regarding general progress/welfare of a student.

•          Deputy Principal regarding school policy, procedure and/or confidential matters related to students in their allocated year group.

          -  Mr O’Donnell Years 7 and 9

          -  Mrs Bury Years 8 and 10

•          Principal regarding school policy, procedure, and confidential matters.

Our office staff will direct you to the most appropriate person to speak with.

School Communication Channels

SENTRAL PARENT PORTAL

The schools main means of communication , besides email, is the Sentral parent portal.

Parents should have registered for the parent portal for Sentral. This is how reports are distributed and interviews requested and granted for midyear student progress interviews. In term 1 each year emails are sent to all new parents with instructions for our student and parent portal in Sentral. If you did not receive this email then please contact the school to correct your email address we have on our administration systems. Parents who have already registered in prior years will still have the same access they set up and not have to re-register.

By using the Sentral parent  portal parents can see their child's timetable, messages posted for students, reports, the newsletter-highlights, calendars for assessment and school events relevant to students and parents, Naplan results and attendance, as well as family contact details you have supplied the school and interview bookings.

Parents will be asked to register online by:

· Logging on to the Internet and registering for access at Parent Register

· Parents will then prompted to create a username using their email address and create a password.

· To see information from the school and to link to your enrolled children, enter the access key provided in the letter emailed.

· Please note that the access key is case sensitive so copy it into the box provided on screen, exactly as it appeared in the letter.

Parents can update family details in this portal and once entered a message will be sent to the school with the change, prompting our admin staff to update the change

The link is below and on our home page for continued access.
