Sentral student and parent portal
Sydney Secondary College Leichhardt campus encourages the use of the Sentral Parent Portal. Parents are able to view information to support their child such as attendance data, daily messages, reports, assessment booklets and schedules, assessment calendars for each year and the school calendar. All bookings for Parent Teacher Conferences are booked through the Sentral Portal.
All new parents should have received an email at the start of the year with instructions and a key to register for the parent portal. Once registered on a computer parents can then link to an app friendly version.
If you have received the email you can click on the link to commence the registration process. Users must register via a PC and link their child before the app can be set up. Make sure that your IOS/OS is updated before loading the app onto your phone. Once registration is complete you will receive an email to confirm registration before you can log into your account. Families can access the portal on up to 8 devices.

Students also have access to the Sentral Portal. Students can click on the link and use their Department of Education log in credentials to log in to the portal. Note that the user name is their name alone without the @education.nsw.gov.au
Students have a slightly different view of the data provided to parents including attendance data, daily messages, and the school calendar. Please do not share your parental log in details with your child/children.
BYOD Hub @ SSC Leichhardt
What is BYOD?
Bring your own device (BYOD) refers to a technology model where students bring a personally owned device to school for the purpose of learning. Students are responsible for the safety and security of their own personal device. It is recommended that students have a protective case for computer devices and they are brought to school fully charged.
What is BYOD at SSC Leichhardt?
Sydney Secondary College Leichhardt Campus expects all students to bring their own device (laptop, etc) to school. A BYOD Hub has been developed as a comprehensive online resource for parents and students to guide decisions, preparation and successful use of devices at school.

BYOD Day Loan request
Student who do not have a device to bring to school are able to request the use of school laptops on a Day Loan basis through the library. Laptops should be picked up between 8.35 am and 8:45am ONLY and returned by 3:10pm. There is a maximum on how many times per week a student can access day loans. All students are expcetd to be parepared for school with their own computer device, books and stationery.
If you are experiencing difficulties providing a device for a student and need a long term loan, please contact the school via the front office and speak with the Head Teacher Wellbeing.
