BYOD Hub

What is BYOD?

Bring your own device (BYOD) refers to a technology model where students bring a personally owned device to school for the purpose of learning. Students are responsible for the safety and security of their own personal device. It is recommended that students have a protective case for computer devices and they are brought to school fully charged.

What is BYOD at SSC Leichhardt?

Sydney Secondary College Leichhardt Campus expects all students to bring their own device (laptop, etc) to school. A BYOD Hub has been developed as a comprehensive online resource for parents and students to guide decisions, preparation and successful use of devices at school.

BYOD Day Loan request

Students who do not have a device to bring to school are able to request the use of school laptops on a Day Loan basis through the library.  Laptops should be picked up between 8.35 am and 8:45am ONLY and returned by 3:10pm. There is a maximum on how many times per week a student can access day loans. All students are expcetd to be parepared for school with their own computer device, books and stationery.

If you are experiencing difficulties providing a device for a student and need a long term loan, please contact the school via the front office and speak with the Head Teacher Wellbeing.
