To earn a Record of School Achievement (RoSA) at the end of Year 10, all students are required to study:
- English
- mathematics
- science
- personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE)
- geography
- history.
In addition, students must actively and regularly participate in Sport and complete four electives over the course of two years. Two 200 hour electives will be completed over two years (years 9 and 10) and one 100 hour in year 9 and another 100 hour in year 10.
At Leichhardt Campus we try to ensure all students have varied and deep opportunities to study electives in year 9 and 10 (stage 5) that inspire and open pathways for future studies.
Electives offered vary each year. To find out the electives to be offered for year 9 students in 2026, download the year 9 subject selection booklet.
VIBE: 100 Hour Electives
Year 9 and year 10 will have an opportunity to select a VIBE (Various Interest Based Elective) to offer engagement and enrichment opportunities for students. These course run for one year over 100 hours (one to be completed in year 9 and one to be completed in Year 10). This interest/enrichment elective will not form part of the Record of School Achievement (ROSA). The VIBE engagement and enrichment electives are designed to engage participants in inquiry-based projects that develop extraordinary creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration and reflective thinking skills. At SSC Leichhardt we call these skills the 4Cs+R.
