Welcome to Sydney Secondary College Leichhardt Campus 

At Sydney Secondary College Leichhardt Campus, we are dedicated to fostering an exceptional educational experience that empowers every student to realise their full potential. Our coeducational environment is designed to reflect the rich diversity of our community, cultivating a strong sense of belonging and encouraging personal responsibility among all our students.

Central to our School’s vision is a commitment to quality teaching, where we hold high expectations for academic growth and achievement. We prioritise rigorous, evidence-based teaching practices, with a strong focus on the explicit teaching of literacy and numeracy skills, ensuring that our students are well-equipped for future success.

Our broad curriculum offers a wealth of interest-based electives for Stage 5 students, providing them with opportunities to explore their passions and talents. We also recognise the importance of supporting the personal and social development of young adolescents. Our extensive transition and wellbeing programs are designed to nurture this growth, ensuring that every student feels valued and supported throughout their educational journey.

The values of Respectful Responsible Learners are at the heart of our school's culture, reinforced by our well-established Positive Behaviour for Learning program, which spans all three campuses of Sydney Secondary College.

Beyond the classroom, we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports and performing arts programs. Opportunities such as the Talented Athletes Program, Duke of Edinburgh, Debating, Dance, Drama, and the College Instrumental Music Program allow students to explore their interests and develop new skills.

Our students complete Year 10 in a distinctive and unmatched position. They have the chance to move on to our Senior Campus at Blackwattle Bay, where they can choose from an impressive variety of subjects and create a customised senior pathway tailored specifically to their interests and goals.

We take pride in our strong connections with the broader community, supported by an active and involved Parents and Citizens (P&C) organisation that plays a vital role in our school life.
